Skin peels are treatments that help to restore the skin to a more youthful complexion. They help to shed dark blotches, sun damage and a dull, lifeless complexion.

How Do Chemical Peels Work?
Skin peels work by creating a controlled shedding of several layers of damaged cells. This exposes a new fresh layer of skin with a more even color and a smoother texture. In addition, the peels tighten the skin and reduce wrinkling.

Are There Different Types of Peels?
Yes. One of the most popular peels is a Glycolic Peel, also know as a Glycolic Wash. This peel is gentle but effective. In this peel Glyderm® Glycolic acid is put on the skin in concentrations from 20 - 70%. Generally, seven peels are done at one to two week intervals. There is little or no down time for our patients and most can resume their regular activities without delay.

Other peels we do include Jessner's, PCA, TCA and Salicylic Acid Peels.
